2015 Trend: Seed Paper Favours

I feel a little bit crazy that it’s partway through March already and I’m still getting used to calling this year 2015! But there’s no mistaking it, and this year has some fun trends coming our way for weddings. I’m excited to bring you the first of Bespoke’s Trend ‘Reports’, and today we’re talking Seed Paper Favours! Seed paper isn’t a new concept, and it’s not even a new idea for wedding favours- but this year, it’s picking up popularity and we couldn’t be more on board.

Seed paper is essentially plantable paper that is biodegradable and full of flower seeds. Awesome, right? Just include a little note to your guests explaining how to plant their paper, and you’re set! Here’s some ideas to get you started:

Favour Trend- Seed Paper Favours

ONE: We LOVE (pun?) these script versions. These little gems are listed on Etsy, which is kind of the handmade E-bay. You can find tons of options there if you’d like to buy handmade!

TWO: I’m not sure that even the ‘Love’ tags compare to the charm of pressed flowers. This is actually a DIY tutorial to make seed paper, so you can go ahead and do it yourself!

THREE: What a fun way to display your seed paper favours! Some other sayings we love?

  • Let Love Grow
  • Love Grows Here
  • Love in Bloom
  • Sowing the Seeds of Love
  • Love Grows Wild

FOUR: Another Etsy option, these leaves are the perfect favour for an organic or botanical wedding!

FIVE: If you’re going to try your hand at making seed paper for favours, I’m not sure you could make uncut paper look any more charming than this! Get the whole tutorial to make these cute cards.

SIX: Last but not least, if you’re not crazy about the rough look of seed paper, there are options that look a bit more polished, like this ‘bucket of love’!

So what do you think of the trend? ‘Green Weddings’ have been gaining popularity over the past 5 years, and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon! Have you ever received a seed paper before? Would you know what to do with it?
