Do you ever see something when you’re out shopping or thrifting that is so darn ugly, but there’s something about it that you can’t shake? That was this baby. I know you’re thinking, ‘She’s gorgeous!’. Yes, yes, she is. But she didn’t used to be! Nicole used to be a shabby looking thrift store find- with wood veneer trays. It’s amazing what a little bit of glass can do, am I right?! Now, she’s one of my most requested pieces- so I thought it’s due time to dedicate a Feature Friday to her.
Here’s the thing about bar carts- they class up any event. But they aren’t only for classy events. Do you know what I mean? They are such a fabulous addition to a glitzy wedding- but they’re just as charming at an intimate backyard wedding. You can fill them with favours, sodas, or straight up liquor in vintage decanters. They are so versatile, and they add a mini table (but way cuter) anywhere you need one. Plus, even though they bring the class, they bring laid back style when you let guests serve themselves. Alright, now on with the gorgeous inspiration photos!
These two images (above) are from a wedding at Paul Lake (near Kamloops). The sweet bride, Hilary approached me with some amazing ideas and I am in awe of how it came to life! The warm, rustic setting with glitter makes for such a cozy but glamorous event! The beautiful photos were captured by Acken Studios.
This bright, white, and gorgeous set up is from a fabulous holiday shoot with The Swank Social here in Vancouver. We love how opposite these two sets of photos are of Nicole- isn’t she versatile? Last but not least, you know we couldn’t let this opportunity go by to share a couple more shots from our Saint Patrick’s Day Party! Nicole loves intimate get togethers like this- just saying, you should probably invite her over some time. Photography by Lemon Thistle, find all the DIYs for the party here.
